The Bible is God's inspired Word to the church and the world. It is our trustworthy guide to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
NO LAW BUT LOVE
Ultimately, the teachings of Jesus Christ can be summed up in one word: Love. Jesus told His followers that the two great commandments of God are to love the Lord with all our heart and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

First Christian Church of Livingston is a proud congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
The Christian Church is the largest Mainline Protestant denomination founded on American soil. We are a movement founded on Christian unity, seeking to bring Christians together by going back to the Bible.
James Shenko
Senior Pastor
James Shenko is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Divinity School. He grew up Roman Catholic, but joined the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) while in college at Stetson University.
James is a native of Florida, but found his home here in the hills of Tennessee. He is passionate about the Gospel and serving our community.
